建築家はグローバルな視点を持ったローカルアーキテクトを目指し，地域社会は可能な限り産官学連携のもとその人材を育成しなければならない．

日本中の都市や集落が潜在的に抱えている課題は，大多数の地域で危機的な水準をすでに超えている．

建築は機能を失ってもその場所に残されやすいという特性によって，その影響は可視化されにくく，抜け殻のような史的空間は災害が起こるたびに文化とともに失われてゆく．

　

今から思えば，'00年台前半がまだ広範囲で有効な手を打つことができた最後の時期だったように思う．

先の大戦が終わってすぐ，'50年頃までに成人した世代が世の舵取りからリタイアし始めたとき，日本の伝統的空間の置かれた状況は本当の意味で変化したのではないか．

　

言語の分野でも方言が急速に失われつつあるが，建築の分野で起きていることとよく似ている．

日本語や各地の方言が人間の思考に重要な影響を与えているように，日本建築の伝統的かつ地域的な空間がそこに暮らす人間のアイデンティティの形成に計り知れない役割を果たすことを我々は忘れてはならない．

　

Architect should try to be local architect who has a global point of view, and local society should develop human resources under collaboration of industry-government-academia as possible.

In a field of linguistics, dialect seem to disappear rapidly, and this reminds me of what is happening in architecture as well.

We must remember that both traditional and local spaces that Japanese architecture possesses, play a tremendous role in forging identity to residents, so as Japanese and various dialects have a great influence on human thoughts.
